Cornell Reunion Celebrates Timeless Campus Traditions

Cornell University in Ithaca reported that its longstanding Reunion traditions continue to draw alumni back to campus each June. The annual gatherings feature signature activities such as dancing in the Arts Quad tents and boating on Beebe Lake.

A recent display of vintage color photographs—sourced from slides in the university’s Library Rare and Manuscript Collections—showcases Reunion celebrations from past decades. The images, taken long before the advent of smartphones and social media, highlight familiar campus locations and traditions still enjoyed today.

Reunion ’25 and future events are expected to offer similar experiences that connect current and former students. Alumni and visitors are invited to share their memories by identifying themselves or others in the photographs. Further details about these events can be found on the Cornell Alumni website.
