New Jersey Library Hosts Dazzling Dog Performance

In a New Jersey library’s community room, several dozen children gathered on a Thursday afternoon for a performance by Thy “Tee” Nguyen Cavagnaro ’95 and her American Eskimo dog troupe, the Amazing Eskies. During the show, Cavagnaro called for six volunteers and arranged them in pairs to form different positions, including two volunteers holding hula hoops, two forming a circle by holding hands, and two lying on their backs. Cavagnaro instructed the volunteers to remain still as one of her dogs, Kayu, leaped through the hoops, arms, and over the prone children. The performance concluded to the sound of cheers and squeals of delight from the audience. Cavagnaro and her dogs perform regularly at events in New Jersey libraries and nursing homes.
