Ithaca Sets Rules for The Commons During Fest
The City of Ithaca released guidelines for The Commons in downtown Ithaca to keep the space safe, clean, and welcoming. The Commons is described as a shared place to gather, relax, and enjoy the center of the city.
- Please help keep the Commons smoke-free, including vaping, as well as other shared outdoor spaces like playgrounds and City events.
- For everyone’s safety, please walk your bike or scooter on the Commons and carry skateboards when moving through the area.
- To help keep the Commons enjoyable for all visitors, amplified music is only permitted during approved events.
- Alcohol may only be sold or consumed during specially permitted events on the Commons.
- Pets are welcome! Please keep dogs leashed and remember to clean up after them.
Thank you for helping to make The Commons welcoming for everyone. Remember to be kind, respectful, and look out for one another so we can keep this space safe, clean, and vibrant for the whole community.
